Most of us would be running to our favorite Mexican restaurant and ordering our favorite margaritas today for Cinco de Mayo. But, COVID has us stuck in the house. No need to fear, MommiNation has you covered with our favorite margarita recipes.

The Original Margarita (Serves 1)

Ingredients:

  • 3oz Tequila
  • 5 oz Triple Sec
  • 5oz Lime Juice
  • 1tsp Simple Syrup (optional)
  • Lime Wedge
  • Salt or Sugar for rim

Add to liquids to shaker of ice and shake, shake, shake. Wet the rim of the glass (with either water, a wedged lime, or the simple syrup by placing on a plate and rubbing the rim of the glass on the plate). Add Lime wedge to the edge of the glass, pour and serve!

Hawaiian Margarita (Serves 1)

Hawiian Margrita

Ingredients:

  • 1oz Orange Liqueur
  • 2oz Tequila
  • 2oz Coconut Water
  • 3oz Pineapple Juice
  • Cherry, Lime wedge, or Pineapple wedge

 

Add to liquids to shaker of ice and shake, shake, shake. Add fruit garnish to the edge of the glass, pour and serve!

 

Frozen Strawberry Margarita (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of Frozen Strawberries
  • ½ Cup orange juice
  • ½ Cup Tequila
  • ¼ Cup Lime Juice
  • 2 Cups Ice
  • Strawberries for garnish
  • Salt or Sugar for Rim

Place all ingredients (except garnish and rim salt/sugar) into a blender. Wet with either water, a wedged lime, or the simple syrup by placing on a plate and rubbing the rim of the glass on the plate). Pour, add garnish, and serve.
