1. Wake up early

We all know how hectic our days can get when the entire family is up and moving so try getting up and hour before the house. That way you can set your intentions for the day, pray, meditate and possibly get started on one of your projects for the day.

2. Get Dressed!

This one sounds crazy, especially if you have no intention of leaving the house, but there is something to be said about getting up and putting fresh clothes on, even shoes! You’ll feel more motivated and ready for your day.

3. Have designated learning times

The best way to get the most out of these times is to make it the same time every day but changing up the activity with the kids. It’s your home so you get to create the curriculum. You can read books, watch learning videos, go out for a field trip and so much more! Get creative and be in tune with what your kid enjoys doing.

4. Fit in a workout.

With the kids, this can be a tough one but you have to be creative and intentional about taking care of you! So make it fun. If the kids are young squat with them, if they are older have them join in.

5. Get out once a week.

It’s great to stay home but it can also drive you crazy. Plan times when you are out alone grabbing a coffee, getting your nails done or times when you take the kids to the park or the museum. Getting out of the house is good for everyone and shouldn’t be forgotten.

6. Create a schedule and stick to it as much as you can.

We shared a sample schedule on our IG page for stay-at-home mommies that we think is a great template for you. Check it out:

7. Don’t forget your spiritual time.

Edifying your spirit is so important to everything else! Whether that means picking up a daily devotional, meditating, doing yoga, or just being still it’s important that you take time out to feed your soul and feel aligned with God or the Universe.

8. Schedule a break.

The best time for this is usually when the kids are down for a nap. If you’re having a tough time getting your kids on a regular sleep schedule check out one of our favorite books Moms On Call for an awesome guide on how to get your kids on a schedule. Use this time to regroup and rejuvenate before it’s time to get back to your Mommi duties.

9. Find a Mommi Tribe that gets you and people that inspire you!

It’s always best to surround yourself with like-minded people. Being a stay-at-home mom is one of the most amazing things you can do for your family and you don’t need anyone judging you or telling you that you’re wasting your life. MommiNation wants to help create meaningful relationships and community so we’re pretty sure you can find a mommi just like you right here!

It’s so much easier these days to find people that look like you, doing what you want. When you find them follow them on social media, read their books, watch their YouTube videos, listen to their podcasts and stay inspired. There are so many great ways to stay motivated without ever leaving the house!

10. Develop a new homemaking skill.

What’s a homemaking skill? A skill or interest that you develop at home that brings you joy or makes things around the house a little easier. This can be sewing, baking, blogging, learning how to make homemade bread or detergent! These things can make your time at home even more fun and enjoyable! And who knows maybe this new skill will flourish into a business!

Hope this helps!
