It’s like life support for your lashes! If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know I’ve jokingly talked about my struggle with lashes. I often do my own makeup for photo shoots and have had more than one failed attempt at last minute strip lash application. I love the glam lashes add to a look but don’t have the patience to perfect doing them on my own. So I’m thrilled that I’ve had the amazing opportunity to partner with OCCHI LASHES nestled in the western suburbs of Chicago. This lash and brow studio is the premiere destination for luxury lash extensions and more.
I went for my initial lash extensions on January 16th and had a beautiful set applied by owner and lash master artist Lynn. I was told that I would need a re-lash around 3-4 weeks out. I was a newbie to lash extensions so I definitely had lots of questions beforehand. Now, you may not think lashes are a service that requires much research but it’s always good to do your due diligence! I’ve talked to some, who went to other studios, and they reported needing fill ins of their lashes in as little at 1 week. I’ve also heard horror stories of furniture glue being used to apply lashes!! One thing that sets OCCHI apart is that their lashes are applied by certified OCCHI artists using sterile instruments, medical grade adhesive and they last WAY longer than most lash extensions!
I didn’t go in for a re-lash until about 5 1/2 weeks later due to scheduling conflicts. In that time, I did have some regrowth of my own lashes, which is to be expected and a sign of healthy lashes. I also had minimal fall out of some of the extensions but again I was at 5 1/2 weeks out so it was to be expected. As you can see below, the volume at 5 1/2 weeks was less hence the need for a fill in.
Head on over to my IGTV to watch a brief video, from my re-lash visit, that answers a few questions about lash application! Also make sure you are following Occhi on Instagram!!
As always thanks for following and be well!!
