Butter and Garlic Roasted Green Beans:\

Fresh String Beans
¼ Cup Slivered Almonds
3 Cloves Minced Garlic
1 Stick Unsalted Butter
1 Teaspoon Coarse Sea Salt
1 Teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice

Rinse your string beans and cut the ends off at an angle.

Boil them in salted water for just 5 minutes.

Fill a bowl with ice and water. Remove the beans from the boiling water and plunge into the ice bath to stop the cooking.

Drain and pat dry.

In a large skillet add 1 stick unsalted butter and melt over medium heat.

Add your silvered almonds and toast about 5 min.

Add your minced garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add your green beans and increase heat to medium high. Saute beans, flipping and tossing frequently until some are browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and cracked black pepper.

Place on a platter and serve.

Have a but allergy? Omit the almonds, my son is allergic, so I can relate.
