We know that being a mom is the most incredible and rewarding role that any woman can have but we also know that there are days when you feel overwhelmed, inadequate and lonely. There are many places that you can go on the internet but few places will fill you up like this!

Our commitment is to be open, vulnerable and real about the daily highs and lows of being a mother and everything in between. No topic will be off limits and no issue too small.

Our Mombassadors come from every walk of life and reflect our community. We’re so happy you’re here and we’re ready to share everything you never thought you needed to know about motherhood!

4-Time Olympic Gold Medalist and newest star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta Sanya Richards-Ross created MommiNation with the intention and ambition to create the most reliable and robust resource for black moms as a result of a gap she identified in her personal life.  While competing in her professional track and field career, she attributed her succuss to her creator, hard work, and her supportive team of professionals around her. After transitioning from her professional career and becoming a mother, she quickly recognized that although she had a supportive family, she was lacking the vast and diverse team she once had that contributed to her success as an athlete.

In 2019, with vision and execution, Sanya announced the new platform, MommiNation. This platform was to create a safe space for black mom bloggers to share their experiences and become that virtual support system that bolster Sanya to the height of her career. Sanya is fervent about paving the way to uplift those around her.

At the onset of the launch of MommiNation, Sanya collaborated with business women and friend Mykal Steen. Mykal is a successful leader for a Fortune 500 company, with expertise in leading teams, generating profits, and digital marketing. For this company she currently leads a team that recovers over $1B annually.  As a young mother herself, Mykal understands the importance of community to help guide mothers on their journey. She immediately became passionate about working with Sanya to fulfil the vision.

Together, Sanya and Mykal have worked zealously to fulfil the mission and vision of MommiNation. In this short time, they have created a vibrant community of black moms that create significant lifelong relationships, established an apparel line, provided resource and relatable stories that highlight the unique experiences of the black motherhood journey, and recently launch a non-profit organization with the mission of providing opportunities, experiences, and resources to black moms worldwide. The vision and aspirations these two have in store for the future of MommiNation, goes beyond anything every imagined for black moms all over the world.
