Here’s to Black Breastfeeding Week…

In honor of the end of Black Breastfeeding Week, I am sharing a gallery from my first encounter with breastfeeding.

Most women who give birth for the first time have to learn the ropes when it comes to breastfeeding a newborn. In my case, I had to learn how to juggle learning how to breastfeed two little babies at the same time. Talk about overwhelming!

At the start of 2015, God allowed me to live my dream. The dream of naturally delivering Paul 1 and 2 into the world with my husband, Matt by my side coaching his babies all the way home. To revel at that moment, when the oxytocin rush and the feeling of brand new skin snuggled next to yours leaves you higher than a Georgia pine.

I will forever remember this experience.
